Outpost Weekend
For those that are new to Outpost, please notice that on the Outpost Registration Form there are different selections/fees depending on when you're able to be with us.  If you'll be staying with us Friday evening through Sunday evening, the fee is $50.  If you're unable to stay the whole weekend, select whichever "Day" registration selection(s) that apply (Saturday only, Sunday only, one day and one night, etc.).  Have any questions? Contact Joe Perring.

Outpost is a support group of the Chrysalis weekend.  Everyone comes with an attitude of servanthood.  While participating in Outpost, we will pray, make agape, pray, help set-up and take down worship areas used on the weekend, pray, eat, fellowship and witness with other butterflies, pray, learn more about Chrysalis, and just help out where needed...and pray.

The Outpost is a way for Chrysalis butterflies to support a weekend Flight or Journey.  Outpost participants will be recognized as being a part of the Outpost when they serve dinner on Saturday evening for the caterpillars, but not in any other special way, except as one of many who served and supported the weekend.

The Outpost will also provide a support group for the Agape Chapel. The Agape Chapel will have an adult leader, a youth or young adult leader, and one youth member (three for the guys, three for the gals). We used to have one or two others in addition to these, but the additional people are no longer needed. Outpost will step in as needed to cover the duties of the Agape Chapel. Basically, we will help out behind the scenes as usual, but just a little bit more than before.

Outpost will be held at the Aldersgate Gatehouse at East Bay Camp, which is limited to 32 youth and adults. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

Please Note: starting in 2009, the number of available spaces at Outpost has been cut as the two cabins we have been using were switched from year-round availability to summer-only availability.  We are in the process of looking at other choices for the location of   Outpost and will update this information when the decision is made.

All meals will be provided and are included in your cost (which should be enclosed with your registration).  If you would like to provide dinner for the entire Outpost gang on Saturday evening of the weekend in place of your registration fee, please let me know.  Otherwise, dinner will be provided at no additional cost. Breakfasts are eaten at Aldersgate; lunches are eaten in the Dining Hall (after the caterpillars).

Let us know your arrival time.  Please - do not miss school (or work) on Friday.  We do not anticipate starting until approximately 8:00 p.m. on Friday.  We encourage the Outpost to stay for the entire weekend.  Questions?  Please contact Joe Perring.

Outpost will be an active support group of this Chrysalis weekend.  Outpost is a great time of Christian fellowship and fun!  We want the Outpost to be a positive experience for everyone involved.  Please let me know if there are any questions or suggestions.

The registration deadline for Outpost is the Monday before the weekend.  Please print off, fill out and mail the Outpost Registration Form off no later than one week prior to the Chrysalis weekend so we can make sure there is enough room, supplies and food for everyone attending Outpost.

Also, be sure you review the Things to Remember page for a list of things to bring and ways to assist in the Outpost weekend.  If you haven't been to Outpost before and need directions, please print off a map.
If you need directions to East Bay Camp, check out the East Bay Camp section of the website.
You will also need to print off a Health Form and bring it with you when you come to Outpost.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 or later to view some of these forms.

If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, Get Adobe Acrobat Reader Here!.

Sponsor's Hour

As a sponsor, you will be showing large amounts of Agape love and dedication for the caterpillar you are sponsoring.  As part of this Agape love and dedication, we ask you to be in attendance for the send off Friday morning of the flight.

We also ask that you attend the Sponsor's Hour, a brief service of prayer after the send off.  Both you and your Caterpillar will benefit from your attendance and participation.  If you are absolutely unable to attend the Sponsor's Hour, please let someone know before or at the drop-off Friday morning so we can have someone pray for the youth you sponsored in your place.

Closing Service

The Closing Service begins at 5PM Sunday night of the Chrysalis weekend and will take place in the Dining Hall, NOT Pilchard!  It is important that you DO NOT arrive before 4:40PM!
We have plenty of help from Outpost for setup, so please do not come out early.
