July Hoot

We will have a hoot July 11, 2009 from 4pm-9pm or so at Mike Beal's House outside of LeRoy, IL.

We will meet at 4pm to play some outdoor games and swim. We will have a cookout with hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner. Please bring something to share - brand name soda, chips, a dessert, or your favorite snack. After that, we can stay and hang out and play more games for a while longer. Feel free to invite your friends. Any friends are welcome to come, not just Chrysalis friends. Invite anyone you think would want to come!

Feel free to come even if you can't be there the entire time (and 9 is not necessarily the official end time - we may leave sooner or stay longer depending on what people want to do) - we'll mostly be just hanging out and eating. If we have a devotion or anything, it will be short and it won't be a big deal if you miss it. Come whenever you can and hang out with old friends and make new friends!

Mime Communion Volunteers Needed
As part of every Chrysalis Flight/Journey, we have a special Saturday communion service called Mime Communion. It is solely a part of the Chrysalis movement.
What we are looking for are some men and women who are interested in doing Mime Communion on future Flights/Journeys. We will be needing two sets of Mimes each Flight, as the girls and guys will be completely separate (except for lunches, dinners and closing).
If you would be interested in attending training to be Mimes for Chrysalis, please let Joe Perring know.

Chrysalis Ministry Sponsor Application
SonRise Chrysalis is happy to announce that we are awarding sponsorships to encourage Chrysalis alumni in new ministries. Planning a mission trip; a career change into ministry or an outreach program in your hometown? We’d love to hear about it and possibly sponsor you. We encourage you to fill out the form informing us of your intent and need. Requests for 2009 will be accepted through the end of the year. A review board will select recipients based on ministry outreach, need, and available funds. We are prayerful that God will bless this program and use it to spread His kingdom here on earth through the power of the Holy Spirit and through your action.

Scholarships are awarded in increments of $50 and $100.
Awards will vary annually based on need and available funds.
